*4-Week Kayak Rolling Fundamentals:
Rolling a kayak is the art of using a little hip-flick and paddle sweep to roll a kayak right-side-up after you've tipped over. Sounds easy, right? It's sort of like learning to hit a golf ball nice and smoothly, except you're updside-down and under water! Anybody can learn to roll a kayak, but it does require a good level of comfort in the water, and lots of hands-on help from an instructor. Each person will progress at a different rate, but our 2 to 1 instructor to student ratio will assure you of getting plenty of personal attention, along with rolling instruction that matches your learning style, ability and comfort level. If you've got some experience rolling a kayak, taking this class would be a great way to develop stronger rolling skills, and even learn a variety of rolls (hand roll, ball roll, back deck roll, etc...). Given our experience teaching the kayak roll, and our instrtuctor to student ratio, we have a very high success rate in teaching people to roll a kayak.
Next Class Start: New classes start every Thursday night at 6:30 Where: Lake Zorinsky (use the 168th Street Entrance between Center and Q Street)
